Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice, remember or revisit the experience of live music, with a distinct subject and a clear reason it matters.
Ideas we welcome
Pitch an original piece about concert impressions, personal keepsakes, ways of recording memories, listening reflection or the care and arrangement of a concert collection. Pieces should be useful to general readers and should not depend on specialist access, invented anecdotes or unverified claims.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the central idea, the reader it serves and what the piece will help them understand or do. Name the approach and explain how it differs from familiar advice. Keep the scope focused; a single useful question is often stronger than a broad survey.
How to send a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and any relevant writing context. A proposal is not a commission, and we will not treat unsolicited full drafts as accepted work.
A memory is more than a set list
We believe a few personal details can bring a concert back vividly. There is no single right way to keep them: a sentence, a programme or a remembered moment can all be enough.
